Join us for a night of beautiful music and fine dining as we present another installment of Monthaven’s Night at the Opera. Vocalists from Nashville Opera will perform selections from the company’s spring production of Donizetti’s Lucia: The Bride of Lammermoor. Inspired by a novel by Sir Walter Scott, Lucia is best known for its famous “Mad Scene.” (The heart-rending aria you hear in the Bruce Willis Sci-Fi classic The Fifth Element – yep, that’s “Mad Scene” music from Lucia.) Nashville Opera vocalists Claire Paschal (soprano), Sara Crigger (mezzo-soprano), and Ryan Bede (baritone) will also survey other beloved Italian arias as our guests enjoy a gourmet dinner and fine drinks in an intimate art gallery setting. Seating is limited, so secure your tickets now.
Kaylin Warden serves as the MACC’s Creative Design and Operations Manager. In this post, she oversees the organization’s graphic design work for exhibitions, events and special projects. She also coordinates the MACC’s arts outreach activities and assists with bookkeeping, among other duties. Kaylin, above all, is passionate about the arts. It comes as no surprise, then, that she is now pursuing a master’s degree in art history. When she’s not at the MACC, you can find her reading her favorite books (especially ones dealing with maritime mysteries), cooking, gardening, playing with her cat and two dogs, and cheering for the Nashville Predators.
