Artist Nadine Shillingford’s expressive charcoal-on-paper portraits capture people in everyday situations and evoke their spirit by highlighting their facial expressions. It’s a whimsical approach that gives vitality to her work. Join us in our Artist Lounge as Shillingford discusses her often unconventional portraiture in a casual conversation with MACC Executive Director Cheryl Strichik. The artist talk begins at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026. Shillingford will discuss her process and artistic inspiration. The talk will conclude with a Q&A session with the audience.
