James Coleman Walking Tour and Artist Talk

2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025 at the MACC, Free

Artist James Coleman created some of the world’s best-known animations during his two-decades-long career with Disney. Mickey’s Christmas Carol, The Fox and the Hound, The Little Mermaid and the Academy Award-winning Beauty and the Beast were among his many titles. These days, Coleman focuses his attention on fine art, creating works in his own impressionistic style. He mentions Monet, van Gogh, Renoir and John Singer Sargent as among the artists he admires most. In this artist talk, Coleman will discuss his storied commercial career along with his decision to pivot into fine art. The talk coincides with the exhibit Bringing Disney to Life, which runs Nov. 15, 2025 to Jan. 11, 2026 at the MACC. The talk is free and open to the public.
