Dana Pettit: A Divine Conversation

Artist Dana Pettit will be on hand to discuss her new exhibition A Divine Appointment, which runs April 18-27 at Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center. The exhibit features portraits of Jesus rendered in different styles of Western art. Pettit created the works in this series as part of her own personal quest to find God. Realizing that the mystery of Christ was too profound to convey in a single artistic style, she opted to create a series of portraits ranging in styles from Baroque and Impressionism to Surrealism and Pop Art. This Artist Talk will offer a perspective on art as a reflection of divine purpose, exploring faith, destiny and creative purpose.
