Artist Talk: Tony Sobota on Finding YES — MOVED TO MARCH 16

Artist Tony Sobota will discuss his creative journey in this March 16 Artist Talk at Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center. The artist, whose exhibit Finding YES runs Feb. 18 to Apr. 13 at the MACC’s Papillon Gallery, showcases works that span a variety of forms, from structured grids to free-form improvisations to observational painting. During a lull in his career, Sobota began using a sketchbook to explore personal questions: What did he actually like? What made him come alive? The answers to these questions will be on display at the Papillon Gallery and will be the focus of this engaging conversation. Due to inclement weather, this Artist Talk has been moved to Sunday, March 16. The exhibit’s opening reception follows the Artist Talk and will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
