FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (June 30, 2026) – Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center is pleased to present its Second Annual MACC Student Art Exhibition. Titled “Created Here,” the exhibit will feature works created by students enrolled in the MACC’s art classes. The show runs July 11-19 in the MACC’s Papillon Gallery.
“We’re thrilled to highlight the work of these talented student artists,” says MACC Arts Education Coordinator Eva Rabin. “The creativity and imagination of these young students is truly remarkable, and I think our visitors will be amazed.”
Every year, students from Sumner County and beyond walk through the doors of Monthaven, enrolling in homeschool and after-school classes as well as summer camps. These students get to explore traditional mediums such as drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media and digital art, along with more unique classes like doll-house making, comic book illustration, anime and sumi ink. A selection of artworks from these students will be showcased in Created Here. In all, there will be more than 30 pieces on display in the MACC’s Papillon Gallery from students ages 6 and up.
Eva Rabin, the MACC’s arts education coordinator, is serving as curator for the exhibit. The MACC’s talented teachers, who are artists themselves, have worked hard to select the art that will be on display. Like the James B. Hawkins Sumner County Student Art Show, which occurs every spring, the second annual Created Here exhibition will feature a variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media.
It has been a thrill to watch these students grow and develop as artists, and the MACC is proud to exhibit their accomplishments. For more information about Created Here, call (615) 822-0789.
