SUMMARY:Vocalist Jonell Mosser Opens 2nd Annual Sweet Summer Concert Series

The four-concert series kicks off June 3 with a performance by Nashville vocal sensation Jonell Mosser. Food trucks and beverage tents are available to provide refreshments to visitors\, who are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets. Admission to this amazing event is free. \nThe complete line-up for the 2023 Edition of the Sweet Summer Concert Series includes performances by Cole Ritter and the Night Owls (June 24)\, blues guitarist Stacy Mitchhart (July 22) and the blues band Super Honk (August 19). SUMMARY:Shakers and Breakers and Music Makers: Contemporary Portraits by Stas Namin
DESCRIPTION:Stas Namin is a legend\, the one true rock star of Eastern European music and art. Since the 1960s\, Stas has experimented with almost every creative medium imaginable\, earning him a level of critical and popular acclaim that perhaps no other contemporary Eastern European artist has achieved. \nAs one of the only musical superstars in all of Eastern Europe\, Stas has taken his cultural status seriously and used it to promote freedom of speech\, freedom of press\, and freedom from government oppression and the growth of music and art across the continent. It’s no surprise that Stas has often been referred to as “the Bob Dylan of Russia.” \nA highly accomplished visual artist\, Stas will be the featured artist for the MACC’s Fourth Annual Moonlight & Magnolias. His evocative paintings and graphic works featuring many of the great rock stars of the 1960s\, ‘70s and beyond will be on display in the MACC’s galleries. These same works have been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout Russia and around the world. \nFree Admission \nARTIST TALK AND BRUNCH\nSunday\, April 30\n12 p.m. to 2 p.m. \nReserve you space now to participate in this exclusive experience with cultural icon Stas Namin as he explores the much-debated concept of What is Art? \nFor more information\, call (615) 822-0789.
