SUMMARY:Picasso on the Patio
DESCRIPTION:Unleash your inner Picasso in this engaging workshop. Participants in our Picasso on the Patio event work with the MACC’s terrific art teachers to create their own Picasso-inspired plates. Embellish your work Picasso-style\, with playful plates depicting the faces of family\, friends\, and more. When you’re finished\, stroll through the MACC’s galleries to see our new exhibit “Picasso Ceramics: Master in Clay Part II.” This year’s workshop coincides with Nashville Opera’s popular Opera on Wheels performance on the MACC’s lawn. Food trucks and beverage tents are available to provide refreshments to visitors\, who are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets. Come for the painting\, stay for the opera! \nTickets for Picasso on the Patio are $40. The opera is free. To register for the workshop\, click HERE.

SUMMARY:Nashville Opera On Wheels at the MACC
DESCRIPTION:Nashville Opera brings Opera On Wheels to the Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center on Oct. 1\, 2023. This terrific program offers family-friendly programs of “greatest hits” from opera\, operetta and musical theater. The performance will take place beneath the stars on the lawn of beautiful Monthaven mansion. Food trucks and beverage tents are available to provide refreshments to visitors\, who are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets. Admission to this amazing event is free. This year’s Opera On Wheels performance coincides with the MACC’s Picasso on the Patio painting event.  Come for the painting\, stay for the opera!
