Carter has deep roots in country music. She’s the daughter of June Carter Cash and Carl Smith and the granddaughter of Maybelle Carter\, part of the original Carter Family that helped shape the genre. She’s recorded a dozen albums since 1978 and had hits like “I Fell in Love” and “Every Little Thing” in the ’90s. A versatile performer\, Carter blends country music with rock and Americana styles. Her performance at the MACC promises to be unforgettable. The MACC’s Heritage Music Series presents intimate house concerts inside Monthaven’s gorgeous art museum. Musicians who’ve shaped music across genres perform in galleries filled with art to audience of less than 50\, who enjoy an elevated Southern meal.
